Recognized as the “Land of 10,000 Lakes”, the wonderful state of Minnesota is a certified summer haven. Minnesota summer vacations present tourists with tons of worthwhile activities to do. Among the summer destinations that you should visit and see in this beautiful state are as follows:

· Minnesota’s Gunflint Trail - This 57-mile roadway has been a common destination for relaxing recreational activities. It provides horseback riding pathways, campgrounds, cabins and hiking trails. The place also serves as a summer hub offering canoeing, camping and fishing activities.

· Superior National Forest – The well-preserved forest is ideal for great outdoor summer adventures. With clean lakes, pristine forests and abundance of life forms, there is just so much to explore in this natural wonder. It also houses the largest number of breeding birds with over 163 nesting species.

· Lake Vermillion – Considered as one of the most scenic lakes in America, it provides visitors with excellent nature viewing. Aside from that, it also offers numerous fun activities to do such as fishing, boating, hunting, air tours and wildlife observation.

· Minnehaha falls – Located within the Minnehaha Park, this 53-foot water falls has been the park’s main attraction. This natural beauty is surrounded by trees and recreational sites. In addition, visitors can enjoy an array of summer entertainment.

· Minneapolis Sculpture Garden – The 11-acre sculpture garden features architecture and gallery tours. The gallery showcases interesting art collections that will surely have your visual senses engaged. Jacques Lipschitz’ sculptures are also displayed along with other art exhibitions.

Wow that lake front cabin looks incredible. And I had no idea bout that sculpture garden. That would be very cool to go see.

The Aerial Lift Bridge is among Duluth's best-known attractions. Originally designed as a vertical lift bridge, it was first constructed in 1905 as a gondola bridge--one of only two in the US. It was converted to its current vertical lift design in 1929-1930. The bridge spans the Duluth entry to the Duluth-Superior harbor. This entrance to the harbor was first dug by hand in 1871 to compete with the natural harbor entrance between Minnesota Point and Wisconsin Point, known as the Superior entry. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

It looks like it is way up north, by Isle Royal maybe?

I just drove past Mile Lacs last night! Sad to see the Dairy Queen in Garrison close. At least they still have the Blue Goose.

Don't forget everything to do in the Brainerd Lakes Area. We have Paul Bunyan Land, plenty of trails for hiking/biking/skiing/snowmobiling, world-class golf courses, the Mississippi Belle, and SO much more!
